Yoga for Relaxation will be guided by Jackie Suazo, a former CFSY team member who spent three years supporting the organization’s finance operations and people practices. Jackie discovered yoga as a way to improve her mental & physical health and build community. What began as a wellness routine soon became a life-changing path, inspiring her to pursue teaching to share this impactful practice with others.
To balance the high-energy, challenging classes she teaches in studios, Jackie founded Green Marble Yoga and designed Yoga for Relaxation to be able share her love of yoga with her own family and friends who needed something slower and more accessible. This Yoga for Relaxation session includes gentle movement to explore range of motion and mobility, mindful attention to the breath, and restorative postures that release common areas of tension such as the shoulders, hips, and lower back. No prior experience is required—participants are invited to arrive as they are and slow down to reconnect mind, body, and breath.
